So the Vibram FiveFinger (VFF) KSO's arrived yesterday and they looked very different than what I expected. I knew that they are supposed to simulate the barefoot feel, but I didn't think they would look so much like the real thing. Here's what I was expecting:
Heres what I got:
Ok, you gotta know I'm joking. Maybe...
Seriously though, I put them on and within 5 minutes the VFF's felt totally normal. I thought the individual toe separation was going to feel funny, but its like putting a watch on your other wrist--you notice it for a couple minutes, then you forget about it. I am going to wear them little by little, daily, and once I've been in them awhile I'll throw out my opinion.
However, wearing them around a couple of times got me thinking "These came out only a couple of years ago, why didn't someone think of this before." Then I remembered JJ Casuals (Jack Johnson Casuals)--the brain child of Andy Samberg of SNL in 2005. He was a couple years ahead of Vibram--which came out in 2007. Do you think Andy gets any royalties???
